As a native New Yorker, Cindee Jay grew up surrounded by the sounds of many different cultures and was drawn to experiencing the ways different beats and instruments invoked different feelings, mental states, and degrees of community building or self-reflection. As a DJ and Wellness Facilitator, she enjoys the interplay between intuitively feeling what the crowd needs in each moment and surprising them with music they hadn’t even imagined existed. Cindee is a curator of new and old beats. She appreciates all genres, and believes the energy matters more than genre boundaries. Her sets lean towards afro house, soulful house, world music, deep house, funky house, classic house, disco, jazz, organic house and beyond.

Her dancefloors welcome every body with your every emotion. She is the creator of the Dream_Weaver party: a community where you can come as you are, dance your (and society’s) old stories into dust and weave new dreams into existence. You are free to be yourself, feel your aches and longings, or your happiness and gratitude.

Cindee currently holds a residency at Eris Evolution in Brooklyn, NY and has played at a long list of top NYC venues of varying sizes including House of Yes Onyx Room, Sincerely Ophelia, Bar Cima Rooftop, The Greenpoint Open Air Fair, The Sultan Room, Ra Ra Rhino, Sleepwalk, The Deep End, and Ethyl's, as well as private events, including the NYC Metro Gala.
